Jauna “JC” Crear, Esq, MBA is the Vice President of Finance and Compliance for Reproductive Health (RH) Impact. JC leads RHI’s Finance and Compliance Team (FACT), which is responsible for overseeing the organization’s compliance and financial requirements, including: contract execution, contractual compliance, financial transactions (receivables, payables, and procurement), budgets, and financial reports. FACT serves as an advocate and liaison with our institutional partners, like our funders and fiscal sponsor, to ensure the prompt/appropriate payment of our staff and our community-based partners, whose efforts are critical to implementing RHI’s mission.
JC holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Tulane Law School and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. She has over 20 years of experience guiding small businesses and non-profit organizations, and she is a licensed attorney in the states of Louisiana and Texas.
“FACT aims to shift systems and culture by centering the remuneration of Black Women for their efforts. FACT’s primary focus is ensuring that our staff and partners are paid promptly and equitably. FACT’s secondary focus is ensuring that RH Impact continues to comply with funder requirements in order to protect the organization’s access to future funding. My team stands in the gap between community-focused CBOs and the more institutional organizations with which they must interact, allowing our partners to focus on their work, while we ensure that they get properly compensated for their efforts.”
